FESTIVALS...

OK this is going to proably make me sound like a bad mother but I'm a real festival lover and usually go to a few a year. This year I can't go to any being pregnant and all and I feel so envious of everyone going. My friend has offered me a day ticket to V festival end of August but I'm due September. Is this the most horrific idea ever? Am I being ridiculous? Obviously I'm not planning on crowd surfing/moshing/drinking but I can't account for idiots who are drunk and might fall into me can I...

I think a day at a festival like V would be fine to be honest.

If you feel uncomfortable you could always just leave seeing as you would be going later in the day anyway.

Go for it.

Bit jealous of glastonbury-goers right now, although weather a bit uncertain!

I think you would be ok if you stayed out of the main crowd - just take a spot further away where you can watch on big screen and soak up the atmosphere. Truthfully though by that point you may not feel like going! I love festivals but know I wouldn't want to bother at 8 months pg! Would rather have a day in bed with a good book [old emoticon]

I think its ok, just remember to take your notes with you and possibly a small overnight bag, and clock the St John's Ambulance in case you need it in a hurry.
Take a mobile phone, some change and some paracetamol.

yeah, my mw said I might struggle on my feet towards the end of my pregnancy cos it's all baby at the minute and I've not put any 'support weight' on around my back etc so I think seeing how I physically feel closer to the time is the best advice. I wouldn't risk anything for my health and babies health so will make the right decision at the time I reckon... thanks ladies

I'd go; with a chair, a fully charged mobile and a very supportive friend
