Can anyone recommend a decent electric piano? We are changing from acoustic to electric!

Roland over Yamaha every time. Their keys feel like a proper piano. I have a Roland RP101, don’t know if they still make it? But it is excellent :)

We went with a kawai but this will be very budget dependent! I am assuming the very best option would be those Yamaha ones that do both?

Are you sure you want to do this? Electric pianos have their place but they are just not like an acoustic...

Agree with Fluke I’m not sure I’d go from acoustic to electric. Even the best one isn’t quite the same as a proper piano.

The big Yamahas are as good as uprights.... but they cost just as much!
If you want electronic because of the sound dampening then they could be worth it.

I have a Yamaha U1. I played a Yamaha clavinova last week - its just not the same... Doesn't have the resonant tone. Each to their own though 😊

'even the best one isnt quite the same' - agree, you dont have seasonal tone changes and tuning bills :)

roland fp30 - excellent keys, decent tone - but obviously go play/listen
