Rough idea of how much to french polish a baby grand ?

By an incredible stroke of luck we have acquired a bosendorfer parlour grand (completely free). She has been regularly serviced and tuned but could really do with some tlc to restore her to her former glory. Any idea of a rough price for a french polisher ?

No, sorry - but there must be specialist web sites where you can get that sort of information.

Depends how much work obviously, you can get a rough idea by googling piano restoration, there are lots of people out there who do this.

I intend to get my piano polished and someone locally put me in touch with a local church organ maker. Seeing this thread has reminded me to chase him up. I expect to pay £700 ish for my upright to be polished but that is having them remove it and do it on their site, but until the chap comes to confirm his rough price I can't say whether it will be more or less.
