Got mine yesterday when we got home. Mousemat, bookmark and stickers cute. We are in the pre-school group (2 years old next weekend) so we got a book about 'colours' and one about 'opposites'. Only flicked through 'colours' once so far. What's a review supposed to look like? Is there a close reading test? Grin Wink

Well, DH read one of them to dd last night (5 - 7 group) and she thoroughly enjoyed it. The words were age appropriate and the pictures very clear - giving little of the storyline away but prompting questions. She apparently, only began to fidget towards the end but he thinks that's a) she was tired b) she wanted to know how it ended and it wasn't happening quickly enough Grin

We are in the year 2 group, my DC is 6. We got The Railway Children, The Secret Garden and Charlotte's Web.
The Railway Children and The Secret Garden are way too hard, and I don't think the subject matter is suitable for a 6 year old which is a real shame as they are lovely stories and I'm really looking forward to DC reading them in two or three years time. We're having a go at Charlotte's Web as my oldest DC read it at the same age as youngest DC is now.
Either way, I'm pleased to have been sent some lovely books but I can't really review them based on what DS thinks as they are way beyond his reading ability.

Tried to sit down earlier with ds1 and the pearson's phonics book, he was not in the least bit interested and told me he doesn't like that book Sad
He did enjoy me reading one of the puffin books to him last night and I found him this morning 'reading' it to himself.
Will try again tomorrow.
