Did/does anyone feel like they are being ripped apart by twins pulling in the opposite directions?

Currently 35+2 with dcda twins. Dt1 is crushing and wriggling against my pubic bone as well as kicking like a mule, and feels like she is trying to claw her way out or that she might drop out ( I know she won't actually do this)

Dt2 is breech under my ribs and is trying to escape in the opposite direction, and is VERY active.

The resulting pain is incredible I am actually crying out in pain.

They calm down for a few minutes and then she is kicking off again, which seems start him going crazy. ATM you can clearly see where his head, bum and legs are moving he is pushing up so hard.

I'm due an elcs due to previous health problems in my last pregnancy and I'm scared that if they go on like this I might go into labour...dt1 is certainly getting into position.

What's your thoughts?

I don't have twins but had to have 2 sections due to health problems. I was warned to contact the labour ward immediately if I thought labour was starting.

Speak to your midwife maybe they can bring case cation forward for you if the pain is too much and they are looking healthy. Good luck c

Thanks I'm in a lot of pain then it eases up. To think I ended up getting monitored for lack of foetal movement in dt1 last month, now that feels like a joke.

I don't want them early if I can help it. I had an emcs last time and ended up with a pullmonary embolism, post-partum cardio-myopathy and pneumonia so in hospital for nearly a month.

Hi Blending,

The pain is shocking, I sympathise. My MCDA twins felt like they were all bone. It really hurt, especially when I was lying down and they would 'fall' to one side, and really poke and hurt and I'm sure their skulls and limbs were made of pure graphite!

You are nearly there, nearly there! I'm sorry that your previous post-partum experience was terrible. I imagine that it is rare and your next one will be wonderful - thats what I'm hoping for you!

By the way, twins are awesome!

my twins are now 4 ...... with a hand each they can still pull me about :)

best thing is when the both run across the play ground and leap at me .. they have mastered how/where to put arms and legs and all I get is 2 boys at squeezy hugging speed leap on me :)

its worth it in the end :)

I had one breech too and used to kick right where my ribs are, he used to extend one leg and pack a wallop. It always, always set off his brother who "bounced" on my pelvis and preferred to use his elbows on me. It didn't help that they MoMo twins. It's like they pushed each other. Sometimes it was very painful. They were born at 37+3 by vag, one was still breech.

Oh the memories haha.

Yes, this is happening to me! Only 30 weeks, but I honestly think dt2 (also breech) has cracked one of my ribs. Excruciating. Is there a remedy for this or a way to get her to move??

Have you tried a glass of ice cold water? It's been said that will often get her moving ? it?s thought that your baby can feel the change in temperature and will try to move away from it.

Have you tried being on your hands and knees and rocking back and forth to take some pressure off your ribs?
