Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

After 2 ectopic pregnancies, 1 investigative laparoscopy (I had to go private for this) and 3 miscarriages in a row, I have FINALLY been given an appointment to see a fertility consultant at my local hospital.

This is as a follow up appointment 12 weeks after my last miscarriage (a mmc at 10wks).

The appointment is tomorrow and I am wondering what to expect from the consultant. Has anybody been to a similar 'follow up' appointment?

Will I actually get some tests or scans done there and then or will I get a load of waffle about statistics and going away to try again????

[stressed emoticon!]

oh gosh, sorry to read all that!

I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea and can't say anything to help you or reassure you, but I read your post and couldn't leave it unanswered.

Hopefully someone will be around tonight who will be able to give you some advice.

good luck anyway.

Hello, sorry for your losses.
After my mmc we went for a follow up appointment where i thought id get answers and checks etc, bit didnt, all the consultant said was that this does happen sometimes and there are no reasons im afraid, try again but take aspirin next time and see how you go!!! Sadly for me more mc's, so went to see consultant who believes in imunne issues and have been tested for Nkcells which are high so need to try with heparin, steroids, progesterone and aspirin!
Let us know how you get on at appointment today. Takecare.
sueXXX.
