Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

So worried

I'm really sorry, I'm just so worried and have to talk about it somewhere as friends and family just think I'm worrying over nothing.

On 22nd June I got my first ever BFP following IVF treatment. It turned out I was pregnant with twins but sadly I lost one at 5 weeks. A scan at 6w 1d showed a wonderful hb and I was discharged from the clinic the same day.

Two weeks to the day I miscarried I had another bleed although it seems to stop as quickly as it started. A scan the next day (7w 2d) showed bubs was fine and measuring as he/she should be.

I am now waiting for my 12 week scan on Monday and I am absolutely terrified that they are going to say I have had a missed miscarriage. I'm not sure why I think this, I just do and readingup it seems to be so common. My symptoms don't seem to be very stong now which worries me too although in fairness they never really were that bad.

I know nothing aprt from the scan can reassure me but I would really welcome your thoughts on how likely it will be that I have had a mmc. I am so scared, I don't think i can bear the wait until Monday

Stop reading. Either way you won't know until Monday. Personally it sounds unlikely if they saw the heartbeat at 7w and you've had no further symptoms but worrying yourself so much is going to make you ill. Please try and relax.

unlikely that you've miscarried btw

Try not to worry too much. Good luck for Monday.

HI, Just to add that when I have had miscarriages after seeing the heartbeat the baby has always been measuring too small for its dates so the fact that everything looked right sounds reassuring. Good Luck.

after 10 wks your chance of a miscarriage of any sort goes down to 2% so the chances are you'll be fine, good luck. so sorry to hear about the loss of your twin x

Firstly thank you all for taking the time to reply.

I know I am being silly as I'm asking for reassurance that only an ultrasound can give me but I really do appreaciate your support.

I think the main thing for now is that I stay off the internet for a bit - sometimes you can defiantely know too much!

Only a couple of days to go now anyway and I guess what will be will be so I will try not to stress to much this weekend

Thank you all once again xx

God I was terrified of missed miscarriage without having been through what you have been through.

Fingers crossed for you, I am sure your little one will be there wriggling around for you to see.

Just to let you know that we had the scan this morning and were over the moon to see our little bubs wriggling away

It was just so incredible to see him/her waving its little arms, I feel so very lucky.

Downs risk came back at 1:11882 so very happy about that too.

I just wanted to thank you all once again for your support last week x
