Loads and loads of good vibes to you!
Is your partner going too? Please let us know what happens... I'm going for the same thing on Wednesday and have no idea what to expect - DH is not keen on blood tests!

see my previous thread here but I think different clinics vary with their procedures. What part of the country are you in and what's your history if you don't mind me asking?

Hello worrybum and OTC,

lots of lovely warm vibes from me too!

I've got my first appt at the r/c mc specialist on the 29th... so being v nosy curious I'd love it if you'd report back after Monday to let us know how it goes.

Weird how I'd kind of like them to find a reason for this totally crappy situation, but also kind of prefer if they didn't and say we're both in tip top condition, off you go to try again!

Loads of luck x

Thanks TNTO. Will get back to you and let you know what happens. KWYM about being in 2 minds about finding the answers but I think that I will actually be relieved if they do find a reason that can be treated. At least I wouldn't feel as hopeless as I have in the past when miscarrying.

Anyone heard from scotlass recently? I knew that she was having some further bloods done I thionk about a week or two ago.

Hello WB and TNTO. My history is 3 mcs in 18 months, no successful pregnancies. One straightforward, 2 missed mcs, no obvious "reasons" found so far. I'm in the south west, not a great local hospital tbh (let's not go there - have enough material to fill an "OMFG you'd never believe what they did this time" thread)!

I am firmly in the "hope they don't find anything" camp. Going next weds, so will let you know

Good luck everyone x

PS DH still carrying on about one blood test. Men are funny aren't they?!

Funny is one way of putting it OTC. Pain in the backside is another . My dh was okay in the end though I was a bit worried about whether he'd cope - he fainted once at the sight of his own blood. He slipped and cut his wrist (not badly, just warranted a clean and a plaster) but he passed out stone cold on the floor!

Yes do let us know how you get on. Best of luck and tell your dh that if he doesn't get on with it like a man he'll have the whole world of mumsnet chanting 'wimp!' at him . Imagine if they had to have babies

Haha, my DH was making a right song and dance about his ONE blood test too! Jeez. I'm warming up my 'wimp' chant!

OTC, our histories sound very similar - 1 natural plus 2 mmc in just over a year. No successful pgs.... yet! I'm still really hopeful despite what has happened so far.

Sorry to hear your hosp has been rubbish. When you're going through emotional and physical hell (repeatedly in our cases), poor care can be the thing that pushes you over the edge.
