Hi there. I’m 6/8 weeks pregnant waiting on scan to see how far along I really am. Last weekend I started light bleeding it was on and off called the midwife unit and they said bleeding is coming in early was common not to worry and I got any pain to call back, I got some cramps mild ones nothing worse than a period cramps so I called them and they said because I wasn’t bleeding heavy and because the pains was only mild they couldn’t see me because the bleeding wasn’t heavy and because I’m early on in the pregnancy it is common to have cramps. So was disappointed with that response I took a test that evening 20th/2 and it came back with a good positive then took another one a day later and I got a positive but not as strong as the other one. Had a midwife appointment and she done a test and it came up negative so we just came to conclusion I had miscarried the baby was heartbroken. I did bleed until Friday very light wouldn’t need a pad or anything. I haven’t had any clumps, clots or tissue pass or when I was bleeding. Still having pregnancy symptoms to this day, hungry, tender breasts, bloated I can see a little bump, tiredness and frequently needing the loo. Took a pregnancy test on Saturday27th twice both came up with a faint positive so this has had me confused with what’s going on. I’ve gotten in contact with my doctor for a blood test to see if I have indeed miscarried or if I am indeed pregnant still waiting to hear back from him. I’ve also message my midwife for her advice as well. Has any other expected mums or mum ever had similar situation as this??

I havent had a similar situation but unfortunately it sounds like you may be in the middle of miscarrying. Your GP will do bloods to see if the hcg goes down over time. If it does, this confirms a miscarriage. I'm sorry, and sorry in particular that it's all so up in the air. X
