II was over the moon to find out I was finally pregnant after a missed miscarriage and then 18 months of trying. Very lucky to already have a 4 year old son.
On Friday night I found some bright red blood. Not loads but more than spotting. By the morning it was spots of brown blood. I went to the EPU at the hospital. They said I have severe cervical ectropion, and the bleed was likely coming from that. My HCG levels were 20,000.
Had an internal scan and they saw a fetal pole with CRL length of 1.5mm. But no heartbeat. I have to go back in a week for another scan.
This is almost identical to what happened last time. So although it could be the cervical ectropion causing the bleed, they thought that last time and I still had a miscarriage.
The thing giving me a bit of hope is that during by cycle I thought I ovulated late. And I didn't get a positive pregnancy result until a week after my period was due. My pregnancy tests are still coming up very strong - almost instant results and stronger than the control line. So it could be cervical ectropion in combo with being more like 5.5/6 weeks than 7.
Sorry, for the massively long post. Has anyone experienced anything similar?
