Done with waiting for miscarriage

It's now been almost three weeks since I found out that the baby's heart stopped beating I'm now technically 9 weeks. The hospital couldn't book me in for either medical miscarriage options until next week. I can't bear the waiting any longer. It's driving me insane. Any tips at all about how to make this thing happen naturally? Exercise? Hot baths? Teas? Booze?!

Am sorry to hear this. I had the same experience. There is nothing you can do but wait. Please dont try to bring it on. The waiting is awful but it will pass

Oh I wish I knew. I've been wondering the same since we found out on Sunday. They scanned me on Wednesday and said to wait a week and then comeback if it's not come out. I rang up the next day and said I couldn't cope, I wanted rid and they booked me in for the next day (today). Currently nothing is happening though 😩

Thanks @NewtothisFBK4921 . Has anything happened for you yet? Nothing has happened here. I have a doc appointment today and a scan.

@nicola18737 nothing at all. I can't decide, I can go and get the pill today to try and bring it on, or I have an op booked for Wednesday. I'm terrified of the op, never been put to sleep before, but feel like it's probably the better option. What do you think?

If I were you I'd get the pills. The nurse at the hospital told me to avoid the op if I could, she said she didn't think it's was good for the body. So unless I am desperate I'm going to try for it to pass naturally (with medication though if it works).

I did pass something this morning that looked like it could be it, but I didn't have any cramping or bleeding so I don't know. I was been bleeding for 2 weeks though so maybe there's none left. I hope the scan confirms it's all gone. However I have had my hopes dashed so much these last few weeks that I am not going to hope for anything, it just leads to more pain.

Well i just had my scan and it's gone!! I am so so happy. I had no pain, no cramps. It's just came out itself this morning.

Hi op. Just wanted to say sorry and I'm thinking of you.

If it's any help I had the op a few years ago. I was recommended it after a missed miscarriage as quite often the pills don't work so you then have to wait even longer and still end up having the operation.

I found it very therapeutic to have an 'end' so I could finally start healing. And everyone obviously knew why I was there. I was treated with a lot of love and care.

Sending you lots of love for tomorrow Thanks

@NewtothisFBK4921 good luck for tomorrow. It's being exhausting waiting for this to be all over. I'm sure you will feel better tomorrow after the op is all done with, you can then grieve and move on.

I was so happy yesterday and thought I was done being sad. Today I keep crying and I feel so low and flat, nothing is bringing me out of it. It's such a rollercoaster.

@NewtothisFBK4921 I was thinking of you yesterday. I hope it went well. Hoe are you feeling?

@nicola18737 hi Nicola, thank you that's so nice. It was a very long day waiting (and so hungry) but the op itself went really well and it's quite a nice feeling waking up - I'd never had a general before. Yesterday I was exhausted all day, pretty woozy and weak. I thought I'd go to work today but have really bad back ache and don't want to, but feel so guilty talking another day off, not sure what to do. Not sure where my head is at yet, just trying to get my body back to feeling vaguely normal first.

How are you? Are you feeling okay?

@NewtothisFBK4921 oh take the day off! You've had an awful time and had a general anaesthetic yesterday. Today can be a day for healing. Just lay on the sofa and watch tv, indulge yourself as it's all so horrible, you deserve something nice.

I'm much better now thank you. I feel very matter of fact about it and don't really feel upset any more.

@nicola18737 I'm so pleased you feel better, I think I'm quite matter of fact too, as soon as my body sorts itself I think I'll be okay, it's been long enough to be feeling awful, time to enjoy life again and think to the future

That's great @NewtothisFBK4921

I've just been to the doctor and she's prescribed me high dose folic acid, that's because I'm 39, apparently our bodies don't absorb it the same when we get older. She said to wait until I have my period before TTC again.
