Think I’m having a miscarriage, what do I do?

I’m about 8 weeks pregnant, I’m pretty sure I’m having a miscarriage. Bright red blood, more than a period, with clots and cramps. What do I do? I have a gp appointment at 4pm but should I be going sooner? What is going to happen at the gp? Do they just let nature take it’s course? TIA x
