Need advice please new pregnancy

I had a missed miscarriage back in October 2017. I went for my 12 week scan and it showed that my baby had stopped developing during the 9 week period. At the weekend I discovered that I am pregnant again and I am terrified! Last night I had terrible stomach pains, which I put down to trapped wind, but I'm not sure if it was as today I had had short sharp pains in my stomach and I don't know what to think! I have my first appointment with the midwife in two weeks time, but I feel like I should go to the doctors regarding these pains. Can anyone tell me am I overreacting due to what I've been through before or do I have a genuine reason to be concerned?
I ignored warning signs in my last pregnancy that resulted in miscarriage regardless of how small they were and I don't want to make the same mistake.
Any advice anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated, thanks
