Not my first post here; it's been a challenging few months.
After nearly five weeks of bleeding during this af (my second after mc: D&C in early April), I started progesterone on Friday to try to curb the bleeding. Yesterday evening I had the worst cramps/pain I've had in nearly eight years (since the contractions for my sons birth). Threw up, they were so painful.
This morning, they'd lessened a bit and when I went to the loo, I think I found out why. (Warning, a huge dose of TMI coming.)
I passed an enormous clot. It's not just blood; it's like tissuey... almost the consistency of a hard sponge. It's the size of a gold ball, maybe bigger. (Yes; I inspected it... sorry...🤢.. in fact, I've kept it. I know; sorry! So gross, but I kept thinking, what if someone wants to do a biopsy to figure out what it is...).
Has anyone had anything like this? Should I take it to my gp? Or just get rid and hope that's the last of it? Could it be the original placenta from back in march? I absolutely know I haven't been pregnant again, because I've been ovulation testing since may, and it would surely have triggered that if I were pregnant.
I just don't know what else it could be! No wonder the bleeding went on so long; I kind of feel better today- cramping gone and bleeding a little subsided...but should I be worried?
