Pain after miscarriage

Hi there, I had a miscarriage on Saturday at 7 weeks. The bleeding has stopped and I'm almost certain I passed the sac on Saturday too. Today, I have a sharp constant pain in my lower right abdomen which does not feel crampy like it has until now. Is this still all part and parcel of a miscarriage or could it be an infection? Thanks.

panda I'm in the same situation although I was only 5 weeks. I've been getting sharp stabbing pains in my lower left side as well as a dull ache today which i thought i was done with as didn't have this yesterday. Hope you feel better soon, it's just horrible isn't it? Xx

Oh @HansSolo22 it is just the worst 😢 I thought because the bleeding had stopped the cramps would have stopped too. How are you getting on otherwise? I just want it to all be over with now!

It's so cruel isn't it panda? I'm trying to stay busy, but it's always there. Like walking into the office and hearing someone's pregnant and seeing their beautifully swollen tummy. It just breaks my heart even though I'm delighted for them. I'm just so sad that it's happened again. Maybe it will be third time lucky for me but who knows. Hope your pains subside soon, it's the mental scars that seem to last so much longer. We must grieve but we must stay positive though Flowers

You're doing so much better than me to be back at work @HansSolo22. I've been watching films for two days to take my mind off it and just wish the pain would go now. I want to be back to normal but feel very emotional about it. Will they do some investigations for you now? I really hope the doctor looks into it for you and you can find some answers xx

@redPanda25 I don't think they'll do any investigations unless I have a third miscarriage, I thought that was the norm but i haven't actually heard that from my doctor, just the internet and these forums. Just got to hope that next time is different but then i read that your chances of having another miscarriage increase with each one you have. So much conflicting info out there, I'm not sure what to believe!
