Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Sixth miscarriage.

I'm currently going through my sixth miscarriage. This is the first pregnancy I have been under a consultant and been prescribed any medication. I was on 400mg progesterone, 150mg aspirin, 50mg thyroxine, 5mg folic acid, 630mg iron supplement and a general pregnancy vitamin and I've still miscarried.

I don't know what more I can do. I've had generic blood tests which highlighted my low iron and low thyroid antibodies. I had an internal scan which showed no problems.

Where do I go from here?!

I'm so sorry. I don't have answers, but didn't want to read and run. An awful time for you. Hope you have plenty of support.

Also didn't want to read and run. So sorry to hear that you're going through it again, it's absolutely awful. On an emotional level, all you can do is look after yourself and give yourself time to heal. I hope you've got good support around you at what is an incredibly shitty time. On a practical level, did you have blood tests for killer cells, thrombophilia etc? Chromosome testing? I don't know time frame of your mcs but I've also read about hyper fertility where basically people fall pg very easily because they actually have a non fussy womb so natural selection as such doesn't take place? I hope the consultant can give you some guidance and some answers xx

So sorry for your loss. Are you having an ERPC? If so are they offering to test the embryo for genetic issues?

I'm currently in limbo after my 5th and waiting on my ERPC which I've been offered the testing with. I've also pushed my gp for testing for autoimmune issues (I have a whole bunch of health issues and have autoimmune issues in the fsmily) so am off for an arm full of blood to be taken today. It may be worth trying that route?

I was also taking progesterone and aspirin which makes me lean more towards a chromosomal problem with mine. But I don't want to second guess myself.

Sorry for your loss.
Have steroids been considered, given that you have low thyroid antibodies. It might be worth considering adding a low dose of prednisilone to the plan. I had a successful pregnancy with cyclogest, clexane, and prednisilone after 6 MCs.
