PTSD and miscarriage

Proof that I'm not a freak! I'm 12 months on from my first and only 4 from my second. I wish I'd seen something like this earlier. Feeling like this is normal.

Hi I've been diagnosed with PTSD this week after my missed miscarriage around eight weeks ago. Its such a relief to know I'm not going mad. Wish you all the best.

I honestly have got the impression from friends and even family that I should have just "got over it". It's been the hardest thing I've ever been through. I'm getting there now after some counselling.
Sending you hugs. The big lesson I have learnt is to recognise your emotions. They are totally valid. And just be really nice to yourself. Talk to yourself as you would do to a dear friend.... x

Yes. I tried the ignore it approach which failed. I think that there is such a taboo about both miscarriage and mental health. I'm pretty strong person but this has almost broken me. And no one really understands unless they have experienced. Hugs to you hope you get the help you need to get fully better xx
