Progesterone pessary

I have just gone through a miscarriage , I was told my a fertility consultant that I had a very low progesterone level 9 months ago and that it would be hard to conceive based on that. When I found out I was pregnant I was over the moon. But the bleeding started after a week and it was down hill from there, I was getting regular bloods done but they did not check progesterone I asked why and they said it was not procedure. The day they told me it was def a miscarriage as my hcg level had dropped the midwife mentioned that next time I might be able to get progesterone pessaries does anyone have any experience of these ?

If you would like to pop across to the recurrent miscarriage threads there are many of us who have used progesterone. I had my 4th MC using them from BFP, then a successful pregnancy where progesterone from day 21 was part of the protocol, along with heparin injections and steroids for high NK cells diagnosed at Coventry implantation clinic. Lesley Regan from St Mary's is convinced low progesterone is a symptom, not a cause, of pregnancy failure, but Profs Quenby and Brosens at Coventry believe progesterone around the time of implantation makes the uterine lining more receptive and selective. I suspect your problem based on one MC will be persuading anyone to prescribe it for you. I would go back to the consultant who said it was low and try to get a script in preparation for TTC again.
