No you have not caused this. Please don't torture yourself thinking that. It may be a miscarriage or everything may be fine. You need a scan to confirm for you. Some Early Pregnancy Units let you self refer but others need a referral from your GP. I would contact your doctor's surgery. They may just do a telephone consultation and do the referral for you. I hope everything is ok.

Of course you haven't caused it. Please try not to feel any guilt about this if it is a miscarriage.

Is there an Early Pregnancy Unit you can ring to see if they can see you? Can you ring your GPs for advice?

I dont know if this is a miscarriage as it could just be implantation bleeding but you need to go to your gp who can arrange for you to have a scan.

Someone a lot wiser than me will come along and be able to offer better advice but the one thing I do know is that you havent done anything to cause a miscarriage so please dont blame yourself.

im keeping everything crossed for you x

Told to come back Tuesday but I know its all over. When does the bleeding and pain stop. I feel lost, guilty, empty.

It's awful isn't it. I drank coffee/coke throughout first pg, no issues. With later pgs I have it up and still miscarried. You didn't cause this. Expect lots of different emotions though over the next wee while (if it is in fact a mc!) it is a whole grieving process. At six weeks I found the bleeding was over in a week, but only one or two of those days was reasonably heavy. Hope you've someone to lean on this weekend (and mumsnet of course)

Please don't think you've caused this. I'm really sorry you're having to go through this and can highly recommend calling the Miscarriage Association for support or visiting their website - they were great with me when I was in pieces. Take care of yourself x

Thank you I feel so guilty as I was doubting whether I wanted another baby.

You've done nothing wrong - please don't punish yourself for what you did or didn't do, or for how you feel or didn't feel. This is just one of those things and it's related to non-viable eggs/sperm or chromosome issues. I was exactly where you are about 2 weeks ago, I really gave myself a horrible time. A few weeks later, and some lovely advice from here, I gained some perspective and stopped blaming myself.

You need to be kind to yourself, this is such a difficult time and you need to look after yourself. The Miscarriage Association website is very helpful, give it a try.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
