I started bleeding yesterday afternoon quite heavy.
I have been up all night and have passed a lot of very large clots

I would have 10 weeks but the baby stopped growing at 5.

I have been taking herbal stuff to help it along and had the first medication pill yesterday morning but really don't want to go in hospital for the second one tomorrow.

I have still got cramps now and a little bit of bleeding but nothing like last night. I was going through a pad in 45 mins.

Do this sound like it is over or is there worsted to come?

Someone help!

I started bleeding on the Saturday evening, it was awful on the Sunday, with the clots and then by the time I woke up on the Monday it had pretty much stopped. So it sounds like you might be through the worst. I asked at the EPU on the Monday morning and they said not to expect anything worsening.

Take care of yourself. Rest, relax, talk about it, and cry. I did neither talking nor crying and it hit me properly a month or so later. Let other people look after you x

Mine was similar to your experience at first (exactly the same dates as you), but after a quiet second day and my GP telling me it was all over, I had intermittent heavy bleeding and pain for the next week and then a sudden massive bleed with lots of big clots ten days later and it was only then that I passed the sac. I know that sounds like the last thing you want to hear, but I'd been told by a doctor that it was all over after the first terrible night, so I was totally unprepared for it to all start up again. Stay close to home and have painkillers and sanitary supplies to hand for the next few days to be on the safe side. So sorry. It's horrible. I hope it's not like that for you but it totally blindsided me and I wish I'd been better prepared. Thanks

Hi Ema I am so sorry for your loss. 3 weeks ago I was in almost the exact same position as you. I was 10.5 weeks but baby stopped growing at 5. It's devastating. There's a really good thread on here called 'tips for going through a miscarriage' or something. I recommend having a look.

Going through a pad in 45 mins is very heavy. If it continues at that rate please consider going to A&E or ring NHS Direct at least.

Everyone has different experiences from what I can gather on here. Some seem to clear everything within a couple of days and some last for several weeks. I had bleeding for 2 weeks which was most light/moderate except for a daily 4-hour session of crazy heavy bleeding and pain and clot passing. After all that I had another scan which showed that the sac and baby were still there so I had the ERPC.

I wish you a speedy recovery and hope that you've had the worst of it. Look after yourself.
