Am I having a miscarriage?

I am 6/7 weeks pregnant. It is a pregnancy from a very new relationship and he finished with me and I wasn't sure I was going to go ahead with it. I want to get that out of the way first.

Since Sunday evening I have been having very light spotting, almost like a discharge rather than a real bleed, sorry if TMI. Then last night I had some cramps for about half an hour, nothing major but uncomfortable. Today I have a feeling almost of pressure and have passed more blood and some clots. I have never had a miscarriage before and i really don't know if that is what is happening, I would have expected there to be much more pain and blood. There is less than a normal period. Also I had a 6 week scan and they couldn't find anything there at all, I am going back next week to be rescanned.

I just wondered if anyone could tell me if this is a miscarriage and what else to expect at this stage of pregnancy? I am very confused about the whole thing and don't really know what to think about any of it.

owww im so sorry that this thread has not had any reply...hon if you are bleeding more and having clots the best thing to do is get to the local a&E to get it checked out. xxxxx

It does sound like a miscarriage if you have had a "real bleed" along with clots. That is pretty much what you would expect at six weeks of pregnancy. However it may not be fully complete yet so it is good that you have a rescan arranged.

I'm sorry that you are going through this and hope you are coping ok.
