Scan after mc?

Do you have to be scanned after early mc?...had mc in May at 6weeks, and was scanned to check all was ok.
Had mc at 5weeks a week ago...went to see Dr second day of heavy bleeding and he didn't mention being scanned as it was "So early" as he said!.
Just a bit worried as this mc was alot more painful and my insides still feel sore?? should I go back??

I had a scan with my first mc, but didn't with my second.

Doc said if everything didn't appear "normal" after my next period to go back.

It was, so I didn't

depends on the hospital i think.

my epu ask you to do a test 2 weeks later, if still + they will scan.

erm, as i recall i had a scan after all of my mcs shortly after passing the babies.

Just checking that womb lining was getting back to normal and that i had no retained products.

FWIW i was in a great deal of pain for up to 2 weeks after some of my mcs, and was very very tender in the few days afterwards. Just as you describe "insides feeling sore".

Sorry its happened to you again, there are no words of comfort except that i know how it feels x

Hi, I miscarried last night, and I am booked for a scan Monday to see if I have 'retained any products'.
This was my first MC and I will definitely be going to the doctor (maybe a different one in your case) if I was still uncomfortable in a week.
I hope you feel better soon :)

If you don't feel right, then go back for more advice ljg. I think you should be guided by your own body.
FWIW I wasn't offered scan following first mc (6 weeks) but did after second (9.5 weeks).

Hi, was interested in the waiting advice you've been given so did some googling - nhs advice doesn't say 3 months, just one month - are there special reasons perhaps why you need to wait longer?
(I'm writing as someone for whom every month is precious!)

my nurse advised me a month on mondays appointment, went to see my gp today as ive been having some pains since my mmc three weeks ago, he said three months is the guideline, but he,d be happy for my to try at christmas if i have the injection this month and i feel ready... Im still really unsure, had mixed reviews on it tbh.

Oh it's tricky isn't it. Nothing wrong with waiting if it makes you feel more secure, unless you feel you have only a short time left to ttc.
I hate getting different info from different health professionals. Hmm
