Hello

I'm 43 and hypothyroid. Still bf a toddler. Periods returned after a year and after a few months settled relatively as usual. Normally 25 days though since children they can vary 25-28. 30 this month.

I've had a really rough few months with chest infections, (asthma ) lack of sleep and poorly children (so less sleep) and then the stress of the last two weeks COVID wise. So I wouldn't be surprised if this was an impact. Thyroid was a bit off last winter too.

I have hypermobilty syndrome which seems worse around period.

A few days ago, a couple of day before my period, I was so achey and flu like I thought it was the virus. But worked out it was period flu. I think this happened last time too. I felt better the day my period arrived but absolutely crashed today. Achey, lethargic. Zero strength energy. Aches and pains .

Is it possible this is perimenopause linked and wtf should I do? Would mini pill ease out symptoms?

Some months I don't seem to be affected. I'm hoping I can actually take time to rest, eat well and do some strength work while in lockdown, I'm also socially isolating. Will this have an affect?

I'm taking bf tablets which have b6 and magnesium in them, also some extra magnesium and I've just ordered taurine. I'm taking eve primrose oil too.

This is severely affecting my life and ability to look after my children some days. Would a Gp even be interested?

I don't think I ovulated this month either as I had no cervical mucus. That's actually been quite regular.
