Hair loss with Femoston - already! Will it grow back??

Approximately six weeks into cyclical Femoston and hair definitely shedding much more than usual. Hair is already thin so rather concerned. Is this normal, does it slow down at all? Is it shedding so that lovely lush hair can push through?? (clutching at straws)

Any experiences with this would be welcome - am now wanting to stop it but apart from the hair loss am getting on ok with it. Help!

Hi MrEzra i am on cyclical Femoston and when i started it last year in the summer i realised i was losing so much hair, about 6 weeks into it, this side effect is not listed for Femoston so i was puzzled, panicked, not impressed at all, talked to menopause lady at the clinic, iron test were done then and results were appallingly low, so i went on iron tablets 3 times a day for 3 months, my hair stopped falling after starting the iron (apprx 2 months into it), so to be honest i will never know if it was iron deficiency or the body adjusting to Femoston. I am still taking Femoston, in fact because symptoms came back (cold sweats, night sweats, low mood) i am now taking Femoston 2/10mg AND Femoston 1/10mg together, so that’s 2 HRT pills per day, my hair is not falling anymore, in fact it is growing like never before, glossy, thick and curly. Find out if you are deficient in iron, it is very common, try not to get anxious, all the best x
