Hyperemesis link to sickness in menopause?

Hi there,
I have just been told I am perimenopausal (at 38 and still trying for no.2 aargh Sad) and am having severe nausea and vomiting at the start of my irregular periods. I'm thnking this is probably due to hormone surges, and it soooo reminds me of my only pregnancy during which i was either in hospital or on serious medication for hyperemesis. I am due my final fertility consultation soon, at which I will no doubt be prescribed hrt, which might help (?) but wondering if anyone out there has experienced hyperemesis followed by severe sickness during menopause?

I was prescribed Elleste 2mg tablet hrt after my hysterectomy, and it made me very sick. I had hyperemesis with both my pregnancies and I wondered if the link was oestrogen. I moved onto patches and have been fine because they dont go through the digestive system. Maybe you are getting a surge of estrogen before your periods?

I had severe hyperemesis with both pregnancies but not had any nausea or sickness with menopause so far. Never heard of a connection.
