Thank you for your helpful replies.
And thank you for sharing your experience of HRT.
I will check out Daisy Network.
And I guess I need to make a GP appointment.

If it really IS the meno then you really have no choice but to take HRT. Without it you are at great risk of osteoporosis and heart disease in later life.

The website Daisy Network is for women who have premature ovarian failure, which would include you as you are under 40.

You need to see your GP and ideally a gynae who knows about prem meno.

I am 43 and had peri symptoms for about 12 months before I finally convinced the GP to give me the blood test. I was menopausal and started taking HRT 3 months ago.

The difference it has made to me is amazing. DH says he has got the person he married back but, more importantly, it had returned me to me. I had many of your symptoms and just felt worn out and dreadful all the time.

As whattodo says HRT may not be the best choice for you but for me it has helped immeasurably.

I had similar diagnosis.

I think it would be worth your while going to gp and getting tested to confirm whether or not it is early menopause (simple blood test).

Then you can look at how to manage symptoms. I take hrt (recommended for early menopausers as it replaces hormones you'd normally find in the non-menopausal under 50yo).

Hrt works for me and I have researched pros and cons of taking it (other women may disagree with it being beneficial on balance)

I'm 36. While undergoing fertility testing some years ago I was advised I would likely go through the menopause very early and I believe I am now experiencing the onset.
Lots of things I expected and am dealing with (have just bought climate control bedding wink)
But other things...
I feel pmt-ish nearly all the time - crampy, teary etc.
I also have the strangest headach most days. Not sore but tight confused
But the biggie is my mood - my poor OH and colleagues are bearing the brunt of my unreasonable anger far too often. I regularly have a little cry in private and then just get on with things. I hate everyone. Actually I hate people - I have absolutely no tolerence any more.
Please tell me something good about this. Is there a positive?
I want to be an optimist again. I want to be a nice person again. I dislike the person I have become in the last few years sad
