Camping Meet Up - Weymouth

Some of the Bournemouth/Poole crew are having a weekend camping on 13th/14th July here:

Osmington Mills.

Anyone who fancies joining us will be welcome. I've phoned and we don't need to book, just turn up. It's a turn up and pitch wherever sort of place and it's £16 per tent per night.

So guys, sign in here ...

Someone needs to give me a list of what I need to get as I only have a tent and a sleeping bag (am a novice )

Of course you can come for the day Delgirl! What if Delgirl comes and we have a meal in the pub late afternoon/early evening? That'll sort out Saturday's meal and Friday's can be from the clubhouse. Then we only need worry about brekkie and lunch.

Whoops, did you want your own tent or do you want to sleep in with us? We'll have a couple of pods spare.

Bring blankets to go under your sleeping bags and over them. Pillows. Unless you're OK without them. Waterproofs and wellies. Carrier bag for the shower (to put your clothes in). Torch.

Bring bowls, plates, mugs and cutlery. Oh and bring a couple of chairs if you have them. I'll check with dh later how many we have.

Bring swimming things as there's an outdoor pool. We've got cricket and swingball and stuff like that.

We've got things like tables, a cooker, frying pan, stuff like that so don't worry about those.

Hmm.... I'll check my very organised friend's camping list that we get sent every year.

Shall we get a wine box between us?

I shall use my own tent if that's ok! (need to get the monies worth!)
I have 2 Adult & 2 children chairs if anyone wants to borrow the spares (am I allowed to cheat and bring an airbed? will the car be close enough to pump it up? Must get some wellies!
Mmmmm Wine box sounds good to me will have to be very active to burn it off though!

Right I have most of the things on your leist Surfer except wellies so if anyone knows where to get hugh calf size wellies I'd be gratefull as all the pairs I tried on today didn't fit
I did go to a camping shop today how I only managed to buy a coat and a lamp I do not know I could really get the bug for all this camping stuff
What are we doing about food for breakfast and lunch? (sorry trying ot be organised as I'm away next weekend too!)

What are we doing bout food when we aren't in the pub? Should I be bringing anything?
I still have no Idea how to put my tent up properly as we made do with how it was thrown up on Friday by my friend but I stayed dry which was a good thing

As much as I would love to see you all, but I have friends for dinner Sat night so have stuff to do in the day, plus Dh wants to build a shed (as you do!!!)

So, anyone seen the forecast? One I've looked at is rain, rain and heavy rain, the other says it's going to be dry and sunny.

Ok, Delgirl. We're on. Bring your swimming things, there's an open air pool, and a picnic lunch. I think we have enough chairs .... will text anything else I think of!

Oh and we'll ring you and let you know which part of the site we're on. If you give us your ETA we can keep an eye out for you.

Oh no, met office website is showing heavy rain Sunday in Weymouth and Bournemouth. Really don't want to take the tent down wet again .

I've just looked at bbc weather and that is showing rain for Tomorrow and Sunday too
I think it may be better to cancel
Although is Sparkler going to find another weekend in her Diary
