I'm overweight and want to lose 3 stone! I've been interested in keto for some time now just never took the plunge! I have been on diet doctor and they advise to not really count calories which sounds too good! So I want to start it this week and really can't be counting calories every day as I'm a busy working mum so has anyone had success this way ? TIA

Come and join us on the Boot Camp threads (in the MN Boot Camp topic). Next Boot Camp is due to start on 14 January - but if you look at any of the old threads, there is a link to the "Spreadsheet of Fabulousness" which has all the guidelines, rules and resources.

High Fat Low Carb and no calorie counting Grin And it works Smile

Can't link easily on the app but when I'm next on the laptop, I'll do a link. In the mean time, I'll @you in one of the Boot Camp threads and you should get an email notifying you that you've been mentioned, with a link.

There's also a sign up thread in Chat at the moment.

Boot Camp is a high fat, low carb way of eating with lots of water and no calorie counting - eat when you're hungry but don't snack (but if you do, make it HFLC) (it always takes me a while to get out of the habit of snacking).

I lost 3 stone in the 7 months up to Christmas 2017 and then another 11 lb over the last year (with a few ups and downs and clambering back on the wagon), down to 11 stone 2lb. I'll have put a few pounds back on over Christmas so I reckon I still have between a half a stone to a stone to go.

Keto requires not only calorie counting but largely carb counting so not tracking would be unlikely to work I think, unless you're used to eating that way. Good luck if you do the boot camp!
