I've been trying to lose my post baby weight for the past 6 weeks, have joined the gym and am going 3 times a week for cardio and have cut all the crap out of my diet. So far so good.
Then I stumbled upon these low carb threads and I'm amazed at the science behind it with regards to GI and insulin so have decided to give it a go.
This week's food shopping included loads of green veg, some peppers, fish, avocado, crustless quiche, plain nuts, eggs, a few different types of cheese and some full fat milk, yoghurt and cream.
Today I have had:
Lunch: green salad with mixed nuts, St Agur cheese, Caesar dressing, 1 tomato, half a yellow pepper, some mixed nuts and some cucumber.
Dinner: spinach, cheese and mushroom omelette with loads of broccoli. plus 2 coffees with cream instead of milk.
I am feeling a bit hungry at the moment, I don't know if it's my body getting used to little carbs?
I am also confused about breakfast as I hate the idea of anything fried first thing in the morning, I have greek yoghurt but imagine it to be quite plain with just nuts.
Do you think it would be okay to have my usual bowl of porridge with banana and raisins if this was my only carbs all day?
Also where do I find a list of low carb foods?
My goal is to get this last 7KG off then maintain my weight with just 3 nutritious meals a day and regular cardio.
Thank you for reading :)
