Low-carb diets

Too many calories?

I've just started low carbing for the first time. I'm at the top end of a healthy weight for my height (11 stone) and would like to loose around a stone and a half. I like the idea of low carb, I like the science behind it, but I have a remarkable capacity for eating. I never feel full, so I'm not sure if eating to fullness will work with me? Today I had assorted low carb salad veg with olive oil and salt, spinach and cherry tomatoes cooked in butter with a fried egg, quite a lot of roast turkey. Then 3 slices of salami. For dinner and large salad, all low carb veg, with olive oil and vinegar dressing and halloumi. Much halloumi. Some garlic sausage. All in all, I think it came to about 1900 calories. Is this too much? I could still eat quite a bit more, I won't, but could. I really do just never feel full. I have binge eating issues and think I have fucked my ability to feel full on anything less than 3000 or so calories in one go...

Just personally, I dont think calorie counting or reducing one food group particularly works long term if thats what your aiming for. You essentially raise your intake of the other food groups, in your case protein and fat which have their own consequences on your health.
I know its boring but healthy and balanced with enough excersise has been proven to be the best way long term!
