Maintaining

I have only got a bit of weight left to lose, and really want to strike the balance between eating low carb most of the time and being able to treat myself a couple of time a week without piling the weight back on. Also don't want to get into the being good in the week and treating myself at the weekend too much as know I will end up living for the weekends, know that sounds pathetic. Any tips on getting the right balance would be great

Do you miss the old way you used to eat?
Honestly?
If you do you are doomed, if you look forward to treats etc., - you are doomed.
~The point is to CHANGE and to stick with the change you have made.
if you crave a McDonalds you will soon be fat and die fat.
If, on the other hand you have actually CHANGED then you will be cool and groovy about your food future.

you decide.
you choose.

I have maintained for a year now. I do allow some carby foods when I really feel like it and I dont gain. Its about having an overall approach in that you mostly eat low carbish/paleo and still have something that you really want that isnt.

I managed for a year but as many of my favourite foods are carb - pasta, cake, breads - it ended up a slippery slope and I'm back to where I started. So yes, previous poster is probably right that it's either a lifestyle choice or very hard to keep up
