Low-carb diets

Low carb low fat

I follow a low-carb and low fat diet. Anyone know of any websites/cook books that cater for this? All the low-carb recipes I find tend to use lots of cheese/nuts and I want to avoid this. I'm living on chicken and low-carb veg/salad/courgetti but want to mix things up!

I don't know of any cook books, but you could have almost any fish with lemon juice? Steak but chop the fat off?

Ricotta is a low fat form of cheese which you could use, as is cottage cheese.

Is it just a short term thing? I don't think I could survive long term.

You could also do roasted veg soups - the roasting brings out a different flavor and then when they're blended they have a creamy texture.

i'd imagine that's about your lot for low carb low fat

very lean meat/protein and some boiled greens or salad.

Ooh love the idea of soups! Ricotta a great idea too thanks. What are the best low-fat fish? Most I've looked at are high in fats (I know they are 'good' fats but still avoid these.)

I have some issues around eating (bulimia) but am getting treatment now, in the meantime I want some 'safe' recipes that get me enjoying food again whilst I work on consuming the healthy fats.

Have a look on websites/magazines for bodybuilders. Low carb/fat is used when cutting.

I think white fish like cod is low fat, and tinned tuna (not in oil). Seafood too like prawns.
