Low-carb bootcamp

Low carbing vegetarian- any tips?

I have 6 weeks to lose the last of my baby/breastfeeding weight before my holiday. I'm finding it tricky and my normal healthy eating/low calorie isn't working. I am exercising with fitness videos. Any tips or meal suggestions? I'm thinking Greek yoghurt and berries for breakfast, eggs and quorn bacon for lunch and halloumi fajitas without the wrap for tea. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm a vegetarian currently doing lowcarb bootcamp. My tip would be to be careful with cheese... I'm not losing weight fast (not that fast is necessarily good) and I think that's partly due to cheese being my main source of protein and also my go-to snack in the absence of fruit which is what I normally snack on. I eat eggs but there's a limit to how many I fancy, whereas I can eat cheese for England. I don't eat quorn/soya but I see you do, so that gives you another protein option. I'm allowing myself a few nuts and seeds in my salads, but I miss pulses which aren't part of bootcamp.

Your meal plan above looks like you might need more veg? And remember to have lots of fat and water.

I lost 3lbs on week one, and nothing this week so far (I have 9lbs left to lose), but I'm not suffering with hunger, and I feel very good and healthy. Why not look at the recipe thread, which has some vegetarian suggestions, and also consider whether you'd want to do bootcamp rules... The cherries wouldn't be part of that though. There's also bootcamp light, which might be better if you're still breastfeeding? The current bootcamp thread (there's a new one every week) is very active, with people much more experienced than me, so take a look at that too. Good luck!

Instead of berries with the yogurt you could have milled flax seed which is low carb and high fibre. You can make low carb bread with it too. I'm getting through quite a lot of tofu, I love the taifun smoked almond and sesame, which I had for lunch (sliced & grilled) with lots of buttered leeks.

Avocados are great! One of my favourite meals is halloumi, guacamole and salad. Love it!
