Low-carb bootcamp

Water - does not drinking enough curb weight loss?

Did boot camp style the week prior to real boot camp starting and I have lost in total 8 pounds up to now, so am happy! I know you always lose more weight initially but this last week I have only lost 2 pounds. Slightly disappointed as I hoped for more!

I have been having milk in my coffee ( I need to reduce this or have cream) and I think I have been slightly lax with water consumption - does this really help lose more weight?

I think I have been good with food (spinach salads with chicken/prawns, etc and eggs /smoked salmon for breakfast.... What do you think?

Yes yes yes. Not a lot more to say! I'm working on the basis that the more water I drink the more weight I'm going to lose.

Have you read the rules of Bootcamp wickedfairy? There's a long explanation there, under the table that tells you how much water you should be drinking, about why drinking water is so important.

Weight loss will slow down after the first two weeks - that's entirely normal.

Well done on the loss so far - brilliant! Flowers

If you are working out then your muscles demand more water, and will hold onto any they can get. Therefore drinking more will flush it through your system and they won't hold on to so much.

Thanks all! I had read the rules but I obviously need to refresh my memory!

Off for a read SmileSmile
