Wise Ladies- Any recommendations for a cheap trip in half term for me and DD 19mo?

I'm burnt out, so I need a wee jolly, just me and DD. For 3-5 nights, would love the sun, but not imperative. DD seems just happy to be with me, rather than doing lots of activities, but would love something she'd really like as well. Everything seems so expensive.
We're based in the north, so easy to get to would be helpful.
Thanks

Ah clicked on this thinking day trips. If you do want a nice day trip for upto 4 people (another mum and kid?) Butlins on a day pass is good £20 for 4 people, use of indoor pools all day (slides etc), rides free, shows for kids etc, take a picnic/drinks with you and it works out a great fun filled cheap day out.

God, being alone in a strange place with a 19 month old would burn me out even more!

Gosh, good for you.
Another thread just started about very cheap flights to Turkey with \easyjet.£70 return to |Bodrum.
Turkey's great-used to live there.

well I don't think you're going to see any sun in the UK given the current weather! for cheap holidays I usually look at budget airlines - ryanair/easyjet/thomsonfly and then look for a cheapish hotel on www.octopustravel.com.

at this time of year Sicily/Southern Italy might be relatively warm, you'ld need somewhere like Canaries for more guaranteed sunshine.

There are short breaks out there, even in half term, and lots of special offers. Have you tried Butlins, Haven etc. Not sunny but could be fun.

Or look on the websites of travel companies like Thomas Cook if you want something further afield.

Does it have to be in half term? Given school hols don't apply surely you could get a cheaper break a week or two after half term?

Also you might be better posting this in the travel section if you haven't already.

Anyone been to/live in jersey? seen some cheapish flights. May be able to find a chep B&B as well, if I'm lucky. Any ideas? Is it a nice place to be in feb with a 19mo?

Maybe try having a look at the website of your local airport - they usually have a list of destinations. If I were you I would go for the hottest place you can afford! So long as there is a pool I am sure your DD will have a lovely time.

Hope you both have a brilliant holiday - it sounds like you deserve it!
