Im still missing xdp. I feel like I need a man to make me happy, and I know thats not true, as I love my dd so much and she makes me happy. But I think I need re-reminding that Im better off being alone.

Becuas when they are ill (as my dh has been for the last 10 days) they do absolutely nothing (except watch sport on TV). Can you imagine doing the same if you were ill?

Ha ha lm AND, they always think they are really ill and can't move when they've only got a poxy cold whereas you are expected to soldier on...Tammybear, you're not necessarily better off alone but you are better off alone IMO than with someone who makes you miserable. I've done both and am now with someone who makes me very happy so it can happen. I don't know your situation though so sorry if this is inappropriate.

is it him specifically your missing? or just a man?

SeaShells · 14/03/2005 20:34

Because without men we can put all our attention into our children and raise them the way we feel best, and we can become strong people who are independant and proud

Dh is working away this week in London and I must admit I got a bit upset this morning when he left especially as my two are ill at the moment, but now he has gone, I can come on here when I like, watch what I want on TV, eat what I like and bid for stuff on Ebay!!

Hi Tammybear,
Yes ds is still unwell. He's happy enough in himself now but can't sleep very well because he keeps coughing and coughing. DD has had a very high temperature and fluey like symptoms so has been off school today and likely to be off until at least Wednesday. Have felt pretty bored today as I normally do something every day with ds and we have been in the house all weekend as well, then dh went this morning. Although I can do what I want now they are both in bed... until ds's next coughing fit.

hope they gets better soon, dd has only just gotten over her plague of colds and coughs, and whatever else she has picked up from nursery

sorry my post sounded a bit dodgy

we don't need men because

don't have to shave legs

can have complete peace once kids are in bed

we can eye up young men in the supermarket and feel no guilt

have control of the remote

spend hours on mn

don't have to tidy up anyone elses mess

can fart in an unladylike manner to our hearts content(not that i do of course)

will that do for now?

lol maisystar

any more that are needed to be added to the list

mine are i can now save my money that i spent on xdp on me and dd

i dont have to constantly watch what i say to try and keep him happy

i dont have to listen to him calling me pathetic when i cry and have a go at me about things that arent even worth arguing over or just makes me feel so small

i feel no guilt at looking at other guys and think ooo hes good looking

i can put my full attention to dd

um... anyone got any others?

Because they sit around on their a*se all day whilst prenant wife does the housework and puts the bloody playhouse together for DDs birthday this week.

Lazy sod!!!

Okay, now could someone remind me why we DO need men (besides their obvious function as sperm donor).

If you have a rabbit, some good friends, a screwdriver and the number of a plumber, babysitter and handyman you'll never need a man again.

You need us because we complete you.
And you can't get away with nagging/moaning/shouting at the kids for long...
