I'm assuming your relationship is amicable?

If so I would get him something like a pic of your daughter in a frame or some other token gift.

I'd do a token gift, so like Ginger said a photo of them, some Daddy socks etc.

If you start something you will have to keep on doing it, and Father’s Day and birthdays etc. Is he the sort of person who would be worrying that you have something on special days too? If he’s not then you have least 16y when you make an effort and you get possible hurt in return. If that doesn't bother you it is a nice thing to do, if it’s just going cause more stress in long run then it’s not worth it!

I have a box of chocolates wrapped under the tree without a name on it. That way if I have a surprise visit from someone who gives a gift I can give that one back. And otherwise I eat the chocolates after christmas.

As others have said do you think he will be as thoughtful? I would do as others have suggested a picture in a frame. Or mug with a photo on. And if he had a gift for you. You can swap. Otherwise keep it for yourself. Don't start something that you may struggle to stop further down the line.

It’s nice to be nice and if it’s amicable, I would get him a nice photo of DD, or of the two of them (if you have one) in a nice frame and that’ll be more than enough.

What do you think he’s getting you?
