Our daughter has just turned 3 weeks old, during the night feeds i dont get up straight away as she tends to moan throughout her sleep due to dreaming this morning i got up a few minutes after letting her moan a bit more so i knew she definitely wanted a bottle as i had got up straight away the other morning to find out she was fast asleep after i made the bottle haha my partner thought this was me that ‘couldn’t be arsed to get out of bed this morning’ he quotes in his own words i could be bothered to get up but he decided to start having digs at me. He then went on to argue with me for the rest of the morning telling me to go and get drunk and get a new boyfriend because he wouldn’t care??? And then he’s slagged me off because i brought her second hand clothes when he goes out and buys new ones when actually the stuff i got second hand is quite decent he then kept saying in the argument to me ‘my daughter’ he needs to realise its our daughter and then to top it off he finally left the house at half 10 in the morning and didn’t go back to his home ( we don’t live together thank god) until 8 pm that evening he had spent the afternoon drinking at the local pub even though i had rang him several times asking him if he wanted to see his daughter he ignored this question and called me a horrible person so now i have a 3 week old baby to look after because he’s more interested in drinking is he being controlling? Am i over reacting ? I’ve spent my day looking after our daughter alongside crying and feeling heartbroken I ended him before he left the house this morning would I be stupid to forgive him

At 3 weeks old you are very tired . However why would you want this . Sounds awful

Why didn't he get up and feed the baby if he was so concerned? Awful that someone would treat you that way when you have a 3 week old baby

Hiya,
This situation doesn't sound good. His behaviour sounds ott and not very supportive at all. Has he always been a drinker and behaved this way towards you?
