Hi all, I'm in the first trimester of my first pregnancy and decided I'm doing it alone. Unfortunately the father is a 5* class act (already has a pregnant partner due in December - which I had no idea about, and slept with several other women I now know about). Understandably he's not keen... Tbh I'm not keen on him now either!

I'm 32 (today woohoo!) and live in East London with my own flat, reasonable savings and good network... I figure I can do this. I mean it's not going to be easy at all. But I always wanted a child and I'm trusting the timing of my life. So hello!

Would love to hear anyone else's stories. I'm not feeling particularly unwell yet which is great, but nor do I feel officially pregnant if you know what I mean...

Hi
I was you last year . I now have a beautiful 10 month old son.

It was in the second and third trimester that I really started to get scared about being a single mother and ended up getting back with my ex for the first 6 months of my DS's life. But I couldn't trust him and there was so much anger and resentment

No one will tell you being a single mother is easy. A good support network is essential
I struggle most with having to keep in contact with my ex and the prospect that I'm never going to have the stereotypical family

However my son is amazing and I can't stay sad for very long with his smiling face around

good luck

Mel
