What to do on Father's Day?

My husband left 6 months ago and has since told me (by way of letter) that he never wanted to be a father and that's why he's left. He still sees my DD and because I'm actually a lovely Oreos. I am torn as to what to do o. Father's Day. Do I get a. Rad from her (she's 3) because that's the done thing, or do I not? Because I do t think he deserves it. What do I do?

TBH at 3 I wouldn't bother - she is too young to realise it is Father's Day (unless they do something at nursery - perhaps you could sound them out and ask that she is directed towards something else if they do).

It may be that he has used not wanting to be a dad as his excuse (to you and to himself) for feeling 'trapped' or whatever, but that actually now he has DD he wouldn't be able to be without her. As he still sees her and is obviously trying to keep a relationship with her, then I'd just quietly support that, but without particularly making a huge effort on her behalf.

What did he facilitate for Mothers' Day?

At this point..What did he do for Mothers day? will she be seeing dad on fathers day ?

I always got my DS to do homemade as I refused to spend the £5 a week maintenance on him.

Yes he still sees her but he's made it quite obvious it's because he knows he would be looked down on more by his family if he didn't. He actually bough a gift for me from my dd and one from himself. I'm tempted just to pass on nursery made stuff and leave it at that.
