I can't decide where we're going with bedtimes these days . 9yr old ds tends to fanny around getting ready for bed but once he's there is happy to read for a bit and sleeps well so I'd like him settled around 8pm.
8yr old dd is a horrific sleeper and I've decided to bring her winding down time forward to 7pm in the hope she's settled by 7:45.
Is this mean and too babyish for them? I work 3 days a week so need them to be on the ball in the morning. I think a dreadful summer of mucking around and dd slipping towards 10:30 bedtimes has thrown me and I don't know how far to rein it back in.
Obviously no DH around to share things with and I've only had one night off in 2 years so my brain is mush. Hence me trying to get a bit bootcamp on them, they're certainly happier with early nights but I don't know if I'm too strict.
I've whittered on a bit. Thanks for getting this far.
