Ex has shown himself to be untrustworthy when it comes to what he lets DD (8) watch on TV/films. I um'd and ah'd about how to deal with this while continuing to let DD spend time with him. My answer is to ask to come with DD to his, to watch films she's already seen and desperate to watch again/wants me to see them too. He's agreed to let us come over this weekend so I asked about a couple of films DD has seen. 1st is the Hobbit, he doesn't have that now. 2nd is Rock of Ages, a 12, and a film I wouldn't have picked myself for DD to watch but she's seen it now and keeps singing the songs.

Would you believe he's had the fucking cheek to tell me he's worried about letting me watch it 'cos there are 'suggestive' scenes and a bit if swearing!

It's heartbreaking these ex stories. Mine loves flouting this sort of thing too. Anything inappropriate as it makes him look cool with the kids. Kinda thinks he's an older brother. Makes me vomit :-(

I agree. Their only children and theres no rush for them to grow up IMO. Why show them these things too young when theres plenty of time for that when they grow up?

This is a large part of the reason I want nothing to do with my ex, not even CSA. I'd rather raise my children with my values, rather than risk his influence like this.

What a plank.

My ex let the DC watch Grown Ups 2. They are 5 and 8!
