To say no to contact this week?

Ex sees DS once a week for 5 hours by choice as he has 'no other time'.

I have received a text saying he can see DS Sunday but only for 1 hour as he is busy.

I have told him that it takes me longer than that to get DS ready/drive to where the contact is taking place and wastes a whole day for me and DS (He sees him at 1) so I have said that he can either find the time or see DS next week.

He regularly texts saying that he is too hungover to see DS or that he is too busy and I've had enough.

Was this bad of me?

I am still completely in love with him and he knows this so I feel really upset that it has to be like this for DS.

One week is going to make a great deal of difference and perhaps it's a good idea to assert you and your child's needs. Five hours of parenting time a week is not a great deal of time and perhaps a little reminder that your child's needs should come above your exes, is needed.

As to your feelings for your ex, he sounds like a prize! I'd wean yourself off him and suggest he comes to fetch your son from here on.

Agree with queen. Is there a reason why you do the travelling?

Keep a diary of every pathetic excuse. There is some way to download texts onto your computer so you can keep a record of it all just in case he tries to blame lack of contact on you at a later date.

He sounds incredibly selfish. I bet he doesn't deserve you.
