Is anyone else a weekend widow?

Hiya,
Is anyone else a weekend widow?
My partner works in media and TV and is away from home more than he's at home. Sometimes the jobs are short but more often than not they can be up to a few months long. The weekdays are OK but the weekends are hard, as this is the time that most other people are spending time together as a family. I don't mind the odd day just me and the kids but sometimes I think it would be lovely to find some other like-minded people in the same situation. Surely I can't be the only media widow in a city like London! It's not just media too of course there are lots of other jobs that demand time away or weekend shift patterns - doctors, nurses, pilots, retail, etc etc. Not to mention single parents.
I feel it would be so helpful/ supportive to have a weekend widows club or meet up. Is there anything along these lines? Anyone know of anything? If not, I'm seriously considering setting something up myself!
