Hi, I’m Sarah and I'm mum to a 5 and 7 year old. A friend of mine just recommended a website/app that I thought you might all be interested in called Trusted Parents (www.trustedparents.com). I found that it’s great for getting to know other parents who live nearby and I love it’s ethos as it’s about growing communities (neighbourhood, school/nursery, etc.) so that everyone can help each other out. So it helps parents who need a parenting-related favour (eg. taking kids to school or babysitting) by matching you with other parents in the local area who might be able to help. It's also great for finding recommendations for fun days out, activities and childcare. It’s pretty recent so I don’t know how many people are using it, but I guess that the more people who get involved, the better the whole thing will work!
