Come and say hello .
Let's see how many people will admit to living in this neck of the woods.

Hello! How are you? Did you guys get together the other week then? I was really rough, it's taken ages to get rid but definitely on the mend now

Am feeling v guilty for neglecting Local of late, haven't even put any listings on, must get down to it at the weekend.

Flier · 11/03/2009 17:29

Hello! No, we didn't get together in the end, will need to arrange another
Poor you Glad you're feeling better though - did you manage to get time off work?

re neglecting local - I know, I feel bad too, I keep meaning to add things

MP bit the dust

I have a policy of not taking time off work. Suspect that doesn't help matters but when you go so long without having a sick day it becomes a matter of principle!

Are your DC fine? We will need to have another meet, you're right. There was talk of a mini meet this end, there's a soft play in Aviemore which might be worth investigating, Wallace went I think. Will let you know if something comes of this

I know what you mean as a point of principle after a while

soft play - is that the one at the hotel complex? I could be up for that

Nope, although I think there's some sort of bouncy castle affair at the hotel. The soft play is at the climbing wall. And of course there's always the funhouse.

I'm thinking maybe the week of the 23rd?

That's weird, FM - I just emailed you, like a minute ago (I think it's you?)

Report
Wallace · 11/03/2009 19:03

The hotel has a bouncy castle and inflatable slides and stuff (haven't been but my big kids have) but is only open at weekends at the moment.

Can't beat the funhouse to be honest! And if the weather is good their is a lovely playpark near the fun house

Yes Wallace, have replied - spooky! I'm waiting to hear back from TM - she'd suggested next week to meet but I can't do next week at all, but the following week is OK. So we'll see what she says. Is the funhouse better than the new soft play bit, do you think?

Report
Wallace · 11/03/2009 19:29

According to my big kids the hotel thing is better for big kids than little ones (they would say that, wouldn't they!)

PS In previous post I meant to, of course, type "there" not "their"

Report
FairMidden · 11/03/2009 19:31

Ah, I see - I meant the new soft play at the climbing wall.

Hotel bit does look like it might be a bit, er, vigorous for littlies.

Report
Wallace · 11/03/2009 19:37

oops, was so distracted by my shameful typo I didn't read properly

Fun house is better definitely. Good thing about the one at the climbing wall is that it opens earlier - the fun house doesn't open til 12 duing the week in Winter.

Flier · 11/03/2009 21:19

by the sounds of it; Aviemore has more play places than Inverness!

I'm sure I could due w/c 23rd, The funhouse was the place I was thinking of but couldn't remember

Rach1972 may be up for it too, although she is away just now

Just saying hi! Don't always remember to check the MN local bit!

Btw, anyone into or use cloth nappies? Just thought I'd mention that the Highland Real Nappy Project are doing a nappy event/nearly new sale here in Dingwall on Tuesday (17th) at the Greenhouse charity shop, from 10-11am! Just in case you or anyone you know needs some more cloth nappies!

Hi Rachel, you must be about to give birth any day now (if you haven't already, that is).
Good luck, will you let us know how you're getting on?
Oh, and we'll see if we can get the HRNP added to the local whats on

Yes, not long now - due in just over 2.5 weeks. My last one was 5 days early - so I'm a bit curious when this one will show up! I'm feeling quite ready...if I can just get my house a bit more tidied up! LOL

Thanks - yes please if you can add the HRNP event to the local bit. Was going to investigate doing something like that last night, but didn't get that far!

Hellooo. Sorry I haven't got round to replying FM - it's manic here at the mo. As it turns out this week wouldn't be any good anyhow. The blardy new kitchen never turned up - I was going to get DS out of the house while DH made a start - and I now have horrible meeting this week to prepare for. Next week's good though. Friday 27th anyone? The kitchen's supposedly arriving on Wednesday and DS is at nursery on Thursday.

The Funhouse sounds good to me - Wallace and I met up there eons ago.

Aaaaaaaaah I can do any day next week except Friday! [sod's law]

I could possibly do Tuesday? I'll have to check tomorrow though.

I could do Tuesday but not until late morning.

We all have such hectic lives up here ... and they say nothing happens in the sticks, eh?!
