Can anyone help me out on Friday please?

Hello ladies,

I wonder if anyone could help me out on Friday? My friend's mum died last week and the funeral is on Friday. DS is not at nursery and I don't think it would be appropriate to take them to the cemetary with me.

Is there anyone who can help me out and sit with them for a couple of hours? The cemetary is at the bottom of my road as some of you know and I don't want to go to the wake (good job really as it's in Dedham, not handy without a car!) but I would like to pay my respects at the service, I have known the family since I was 7...

I'm not sure what time it is yet but I will post as soon as I do.

Thank you!

ok, the service is at 2.45 so if someone is free 2 - 4pm that would be great, I know it is in the middle of the school run though

I'm sorry, if DD was so tiny I wouldn't hesitate but I'm only just getting used to 2, I can't imagine 4!

Sorry I meant to say if DD wasn't so tiny.

Hi,

Thanks girls.

PF - don't worry, know exactly what you mean and I wouldn't dream of asking you at the moment, you're hands are quite full enough!

Twims - that's really kind, thank you. If Mung or anyone else can't, that would be great. Is there any chance you could pop over and meet the DC's briefly beforehand though (like thursday pm or something) so I wasn't leaving them with someone they hadn't met? (does that sound precious?)

Mung - don't change plans with your Mum just for me just let me know...

Sorry Jently, but I have just spoken to my Mum and she still needs me to help her out that afternoon. She had her hip replaced a while back and is still quite dependent on people. Her friend that she is staying with is out for the day and I need to take her to physio. I hope you manage to find someone.

Hi Jently (only just logged in), I know you said that you have Twims on the case now but if you still need help I can offer my services. DD finishes school at 12.00 at the moment so i could easily get to yours at 2. Sounds like a sad afternoon for you. If you are all sorted out now no worries - i won't be offended!

It was a very stressful day - stitches out of my wrist in the morning, then the funeral but Twims was just amazing with the children - they had such a good time with her

The funeral was very sad, my friend and her dad were so strong. Sounds funny but it was nice to see lots of old faces but not under such circumstances
