storkways creche - do not put your child in there unless they are old enough to look after themselves! i witnessed staff eating whilst a boy cried and was clearly distressed also there was another one walking around looking upset and lost barely any attention was paid to either of them. this i saw whilst cleaning up odd keys and shreds of paper and small plastic things from the dirty mat my 5 month old daughter had been placed on. ok i should never have left her there but i put my faith in the staff member who said she would be her keyworker. and i'd been there the previous week to spend an entire session and by the end she loved it. anyway after settling her in a little (or so i hoped) i left her calm and happy to go off to my class. i requested that she have her feed, her dummy if she cried and a nappy change sometime within the next hour. this was all fine apparently. basic stuff isn't it. i even wrote it down. so i left her. get back and she's very distressed, only had half her bottle and is still in the dirty nappy. she hasn't got her dummy either. no wonder she's upset she's hungry and sitting in poo. noone bothered to give me the results of the observation either (yep i forgot to ask). never again. i had to rock my daughter to sleep that night for the first time in ages. and then she woke up screaming not long after which isn't like her at all. also the keyworker will not stay for the whole time you're at your class or whatever. my daughter's one left fifteen minutes before my class ended as her shift was over god knows what happened to her after that. this was the first time i left her alone in a creche so much to learn!
