Secondary schools for bright boys with ASD

My DS is 7 and thriving at a very nurturing local primary. He's a gentle boy who'll be fine academically, but I'm worried that he could flounder in confidence at a big secondary school. Does anyone have experience of local secondaries that have been able to give similar children a positive secondary experience, state or private?

There’s a private school in the south east that’s great for this but yes totally depends on your location

NautaOcts which private school in the SE? I’m in a similar position to the OP, with a ds with ASD coming up to secondary, and so am researching options.

Halliford is worth a look. Small school , private fair few quirky boys and nurturing and accepting.
Orleans has a great rep for special needs but I think it depends if you have an EHCP, what peer group you end up in , Lots of kids with additional needs so unless you stand out easy to fall under the radar.

Ewell Castle ?
If very bright Hampton. They have done well by a few boys on the spectrum.
Possibly Turing but don’t know how their new site will affect them. Currently year 7 and 8 and separate from the rest of the school

Richard Challoner in New Malden are supposed to be amazing. They have a unit for ASD too so really get it. They're nurturing and supportive.
