Lightmoor Village, Telford. Okay area?

We just reserved a new build house in Lightmoor Village - green and quiet with good views, new buildings and new primary school.

I really like the feel of the village but then I’ve heard such bad things about Telford. The sales advisor said that Lightmoor is nicer than Telford but then she would say that.

Does anyone know the area?

I actually didn’t mind Telford town centre so much. I like that it’s so new and the streets aren’t so close together so there’s a sense of space. I see why people say Telford’s town centre is basically just a shopping centre but at least it’s a nice shopping centre. I actually preferred it to Shrewsbury town centre, although the Quarry is lovely.

To be fair I’ve only spent one weekend in Telford and Shrewsbury so I’m a bit clueless. Any opinions would be really appreciated
